Do you rent tents? No, you need to bring your own.
Is the fishing pond stocked? Yes, we stock it every year with
bass and bluegills.
A fishing licence is not required. All fish should be released back into the pond
What do I need to bring if we rent a cabin? Bedding, towels,
toiletries, kitchen supplies: kitchen towels, paper towels, napkins,
plates, cups, silverware, and food.
Do you have cable? No, cable is not available in our area. Some
guests bring their satellite dish. You should let us know when making your
reservation that you would like to use your dish, so we can place you in
an area that is most likely to get satellite reception.
What
television stations do you get? the area's television stations are:
Channel 3 (CBS), 15 (NBC), 21 (PBS), 27 (ABC), and 47 (FOX). The stations
are located in Madison, so with the bluffs in the area, reception is poor.
Some guests have brought their satellite dish and reception is most likely
in the full hook-up area. The TV/VCR in the cabins are provided for movies
only. Is the quiet time enforced? Yes, all noise must be contained
within your site at 10:30pm. Even before our quiet time, the thing to
remember is that one of the basic unwritten rules of camping is to have
respect and consideration for your camping neighbors. Even if you are in a
group, you are not the only ones here! Is the pool heated? Yes, the
pool temperature is usually kept around 85 degrees. Do you allow 2
tents on a campsite? Yes, but we allow no more than 2 tents on any site
How much do the showers cost? Showers are free and
located on the back of the shower building. Showers are open 24 hours a day.
How
much do the pedal karts cost? We have 3 sizes: Peewee, 2 Passengers, and
4 Passengers. They cost $5, $7, and $10 respectively, for a half an hour. The
back seat of the 2 Passenger and the 2 front seats of the 4 Passenger hold
only 50 pounds or less. How does the free sport shop work? Sports
equipment can be checked out at the sport shop provided you have a usable
credit card on file as a security deposit. It is with the understanding that
the sports equipment will be kept in the campground. The posted Sports

I agree not to hold Baraboo Hills Campground liable
for any injuries during or after using any of the equipment including but
not limited to, playground equipment, bikes, pedal karts, etc... I assume
the responsibility of inspecting the equipment before I or any of my
family members, friends or guests using it and determine that it is safe.
I
agree to return any equipment I, my family members, friends or guests use
in good working order. I understand that it is my responsibility to ask
for my receipts at the time items are returned. I understand that should
equipment not be returned or returned in a damaged condition due to
negligence or by accident, I am liable for the replacement cost of these
items which is available upon request.
What about visitors? Visitors are welcome, however they must pay a
guest fee and register in the office. What time is Check-in?
Check-in is anytime after 2pm, however if you arrive after the office
closes, a map with your name on it and your campsite highlighted will be
left on the front door for you. You will need to register the following
morning and get your paperwork. What time is Check-out? Can we stay
longer? Check-out is prior to 11am. Should you wish to stay longer to
use the facilities, depending on availability, you can pay a half-day rate
and stay until 5pm. What about discounts? We offer AAA and Good
Sam discounts. We also offer several promotions based on the length of stay:
Pay for 3 nights, get the 4th night at 50% off; Pay for 4 nights, get the
5th night free; Pay for 5 nights, get 2 nights free. They are
valid only at the time the original reservation is made, and are not
available after check-in. Only one discount/promotion can be used at a time.
Are
your campsites wooded? Yes, most of our campground is very wooded. They
are referred to as "pocket sites" in that they are cut into the
woods and have trees and brush on all three sides for privacy. If
you are in a group, to get to the campsite next to yours, you would need to
walk out of your campsite. What is expected of us at Check-out? An
unwritten rule of camping is to leave the campsite as clean, if not cleaner
than you found it. All trash should be placed in the garbage bags provided
and taken to the dumpsters. If you were with a group and you moved picnic
tables for group meals, they should be moved back to their original
campsite. We do provide this clean-up service for a fee of $10.00 per site
should it be required after you leave. It's not necessary to stop in to
formally check-out, but you can if you wish to. Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed, however they must be on a leash, never left unattended and
picked-up after. They are not allowed in any of the buildings, including
cabins. They are not allowed with cabin reservations. If you are planning to
spend the day away from the campground there are several nice kennels in the
area to pick from. You should bring copies of all of your pet's paperwork
showing that their shots, etc., are up-to-date. Pampered Pets -
608.356.5204 Do you allow alcohol? Yes. Provided you are of
legal drinking age and can manage it responsibly. Being a family campground,
we appreciate a good example set for young children.
